Hey friend!

I’m Melissa Holmes, the creative hands behind every piece at Cut & Connect.

Cut & Connect was born in 2016, shortly after I moved from California to Connecticut. It became my dedicated space for all my creative projects. But honestly, I’ve been a creator for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I’d sketch out room layouts and interior decor ideas. In high school, I had a conversation with my art teacher. “I want to mix art and computers,” I said, and he replied, “Ah, so you want to be a Graphic Designer!” He was spot on.

Over the past 18+ years, a bachelor’s degree, a handful of certificates, and hundreds of thousands of projects later, I’ve been doing just that - honing my craft. Along the way, I picked up additional interests: woodworking, welding, laser cutting, building furniture, 3D rendering, home renovations, my early love, interior design, and even gardening which inspires my botanical designs.
